Do you have a passion for preserving and sharing Western Canadian ranching history with people of all ages? If so, we invite you to apply for the Library Coordinator position at the Stockmen’s Memorial Foundation here in Cochrane. 

We are seeking a highly organized and welcoming customer service-oriented individual to join our small team as our Library Coordinator.

Duties:

– Develop and implement library policies and procedures

– Maintain and organize library collections, ensuring materials are properly catalogued and shelved

– Promote the various Stockmen’s programs and events to the community using all types of media

– Oversee the displays and appearance of our museum, art gallery and library

– Collaborate with other groups and organizations to host various events and programs

– Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies in library management requirements.

Skills and Attributes:

– Strong written and verbal communication skills

– Proficient in data collection, organization, and entry

– Familiarity with library systems, databases and experience with archival collections is preferred

– Excellent customer service skills

– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

– Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

– Ability to work independently, with volunteers, and as well as part of a team.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay range: $19.50-$21.50 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week.

Education:  AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Work Location:  In person at 101 RancheHouse Road, Cochrane Alberta.
